Women in BIM (WIB) Regional Lead for New York, Yafei Zhang, took center stage at a highly anticipated international event which took place in New York this month: “Intersection of Smart Tech, Art, and Design: Enhancing Urban Life and Nature”, hosted by Utopia Collaboration Inc. and the A’ Design Award winners.
The event, held at The Blanc Gallery in New York City gathered an impressive array of thought leaders from architecture, product design and technological innovation, highlighting the future of urban environments.
As a prominent representative of WIB, Yafei Zhang – who co-hosted the event alongside Vivian (Fangquan) Zhuang, Product Manager at TikTok – guided the evening’s conversations, showcasing cutting edge expert insights on the transformative impact of technology in architecture and urban design.
Yafei also emphasised how advanced BIM technological integration not only enhances design efficiency but also serves as a powerful tool for reducing construction waste, overall cost, and improving sustainability through energy optimisation and performance analysis.
