Women in BIM is once again proud to support Digital Construction Week (DCW) as an official Media Partner, continuing a long standing relationship with one of the UK’s leading events for innovation and technology in the built environment.
Bringing together professionals from across architecture, engineering, construction and operations (AECO), DCW provides a platform for collaboration, learning and industry wide discussion around the future of digital construction.
As a powerful collaborative network, Women in BIM is a global community with a vision to support, empower and celebrate BIM and digital construction professionals by giving them a voice.
With more than 5,000 members across 119 countries, Women in BIM continues to champion diversity within the industry while supporting its Members through mentoring, career development and professional growth opportunities. By helping women develop both personal and professional skills, Women in BIM is actively contributing to a more inclusive and forward-thinking construction sector.
Digital Construction Week has become a key event within the AECO calendar, attracting thousands of professionals looking to explore the latest technologies, ideas and innovations shaping the built environment.
Free to attend, the event offers two packed days of CPD accredited seminars, live demonstrations, networking opportunities and technology showcases. And once again Women in BIM will be hosting two engaging panel sessions that explore some of the sector’s most relevant and thought-provoking topics.
The first session, Turning Information into action and taking out the data trash, takes place in the People and Change Theatre on Thursday 4 June from 14:30 – 15:00. The discussion will focus on how organisations can move beyond simply collecting data and instead use structured information management to generate meaningful insights and improve project delivery. As businesses continue to face increasing volumes of disconnected information, the panel will explore practical ways to turn raw data into actionable intelligence.
Moderated by Vicki Reynolds, Technical Director – Digital Estates at One Creative Environment, the panel features Hadeel Saadoon from Connected Places Catapult, Angana Ghosh from WSP and Lilian Ho from Zigurat Institute of Technology. Attendees will gain valuable insight into applying structured information management, identifying unnecessary “data trash” and using analytics more proactively across projects and organisations.
The second session, Why is BIM not intuitive, responsive or user-friendly like an AI tool?, takes place on the Inspire Stage on Thursday 4 June from 15:00 – 15:30. This panel explores BIM as part of a wider digital ecosystem rather than a standalone tool, examining how workflows, people, data and technology connect throughout the design process.
Moderated by David Philp, Chief Value Officer at Bentley Systems, the session includes Natalia Olivera, Partner at Estudio ESE, and Mo Shana’a, CEO of Morta. Using the concept of “HEY BIM” as a digital assistant, the panel will discuss whether BIM could evolve into a more intuitive and responsive platform similar to modern AI-driven technologies, while also addressing the challenges and limitations currently facing the industry.
Alongside the speaking programme, new for 2026, Women in BIM will also host the “Ask the BIM Experts” initiative at Stand D462, managed by Women in BIM Regional Leads for the UK. The stand will offer visitors the opportunity to meet and speak directly with industry professionals on a wide range of digital construction topics.
