Women in BIM (WIB) has appointed Marie Grieve as Global Vice Chair. The appointment was formalised at the recent WIB Conference in London on Wednesday 22 November, when Marie hosted the conference and gave the opening WIB welcome and an update on the progress WIB has made in the past 12 months.

Marie has been running our communications strategy as part of the Global Executive Team for four years and has now taken further responsibility for supporting the executive team and all WIB global initiatives.

Rebecca De Cicco, Global Chair and Founder of WIB spoke of Marie’s appointment: “We couldn’t have asked for a better, more qualified person to step into this role to support our Women in BIM Community. Marie’s experience, knowledge and network within the digital built environment brings further momentum to our mission at a key point in supporting the delivery of our diversity, inclusion, education and digital engagement goals.”

Marie has 20 years’ experience of working in marketing and business development. In 2015, Marie founded Costello Palmer Communications, an international marketing and communications consultancy specialising in digital content and high-performance strategic delivery for a global client base. 

Having worked with both public and private sector organisations, as well as local and central governments, Marie is an expert marketing strategist, known for delivering compelling creativity – whether it be content, imagery or persuasion – to directly impact onto her clients’ bottom line.  

Marie’s approach is one of insight-led thinking and an understanding of how the digital agenda now drives brands and decision making. She is regularly invited to speak at conferences and presents on many international stages on the topics of digital brand strategies.

Marie is also a WIB Mentor, a Mentor for London and Partners, and is part of the Task Group delivering the City of London Corporation’s Skills for a Sustainable Skyline Taskforce.
