On October 18th, The Nine Club hosted the first network meeting from Women in BIM in Belgium. Engineers, architects, team leaders and entrepreneurs participated in the meeting with the chance to engage in meaningful points about BIM in Belgium, their experience in the Belgium Market, and the challenges of being a woman in the sector.
The event started with a round of presentations. Coming from different professional backgrounds and industries, the participants were able to get to know each other and share their experiences. Insightful discussions about the use of BIM in the Belgium market, and the challenges of BIM implementation heated up the conversation.
The event was also an opportunity to discuss the expectations for a Women in BIM Belgium group. Participants brainstormed ideas for future networking events to facilitate connections and collaborations within the group, partner-up with other Woman organisations, encourage members to share their knowledge and experiences in events or articles in the network, and promote training sessions or courses on BIM software and methodologies.
If you are living/working in Belgium, stay tuned for more updates and news of future events through the Linkedin group, as we work together to create a brighter and more inclusive environment for women in the Belgian BIM community.
