As we draw close to the end of 2025 and celebrate the festive season, I want to extend my heartfelt thanks to every Member, Supporter, Sponsor, Partner and Regional Lead within the Women in BIM community. This year has been truly remarkable, one of growth, connection and meaningful impact across the global built environment.
In 2025, we have continued to see exceptional expansion of the Women in BIM community, with thousands of professionals now part of our global network spanning over 100 countries and hundreds of regional leads. This growth is more than a number, it reflects a shared commitment to supporting women in digital construction and BIM roles, amplifying voices that have historically been underrepresented, and building a more equitable and inclusive industry for all.
We have welcomed increasing Membership, which has enriched our collective expertise, broadened our global dialogue and strengthened the reach of our mission.
The support you all give, by being part of this community, helps women develop their careers, build confidence and find opportunities for collaboration, leadership and influence within the built environment.
Being part of Women in BIM means being part of a movement where every connection, conversation and contribution matters.
At the heart of Women in BIM are our Core Objectives and Drivers:
- Attract and Encourage women into digitally related built environment careers, inspiring the next generation of talent.
- Promote and Support each other through shared experiences, mentorship, and professional development.
- Advance and Retain women in BIM & digital construction, enabling progression into senior roles and leadership positions.
These principles guide everything we do from our events and initiatives, to our advocacy for digital skills and career opportunities.
One of the highlights of this year has been the significant growth of the Women in BIM Mentor Scheme worldwide. The Mentor Scheme has become a powerful engine for change, offering structured support that connects experienced professionals with emerging talent across the globe.
Through mentoring, we empower women to set goals, build confidence, expand skill sets and navigate their careers with personalised guidance and encouragement. The impact of these mentoring relationships is profound, fostering personal and professional growth that resonates far beyond the programme itself.
To all our Mentors and Mentees — thank you. You are living examples of what Women in BIM stands for: connection, empowerment and collective success.
As we step into 2026, Women in BIM will build upon the powerful theme of Envision that guided us through 2025, where we collectively imagined a better, more inclusive future for our people and our planet.
In 2026, our focus will shift to Action. Action to turn vision into reality, to embed equity into everyday practice, to accelerate digital transformation responsibly and to create tangible change across the built environment.
This means empowering our community not only to lead conversations, but to lead implementation through mentoring, leadership, education, advocacy and collaboration. Together, we will move from intention to impact, ensuring that the future we envision is one we actively fulfil.
