City Shaping’s Next Move
For five years the Smart Cities Council has advocated that technology and data can help accelerate greater outcomes for people, planet and prosperity. As policy makers and practitioners alike have aspired to support this mission, we have listened, learned and matured together. But what is the next move for our city shapers? Adam Beck from the Smart Cities Council will share his view from the perspective of the smart cities community.

Digital enablement for infrastructure from policy to project
Andrew’s presentation showcases the digital enablement for infrastructure from policy to project. It also discusses the value that the Australasian BIM Advisory Board plays in supporting the evolving policy process and outlines the value that Infrastructure Australia has identified in calling for digital by default rather than digital by exception. Andrew finishes this presentation by detailing the work that the Cross River Rail Delivery Authority in Queensland is doing to leverage the digital elements.
2.40 – 2.55 Luke Belfield – Acting Victorian Chief Engineer, Office of Projects Victoria
In March 2020, OPV released the Victorian Digital Asset Strategy (VDAS) to support Victorian Government Departments and Agencies in planning, designing, building, and operating Victorian digital assets. Having set the strategy, the Victorian Treasurer Tim Pallas, MP formally launched the Digital Asset Policy. The Digital Asset Policy is a landmark development providing clear requirements for digital asset information management. Luke’s presentation will provide an overview of VDAS, the Digital Build Program, and the Digital Asset Policy.

Kesinee will give an update on the BIM Community and BIM Maturity in Thailand. She will also give an update on some of the BIM projects she has been working on and also details around the Asian BIM Collaboration in Thailand which the Thai BIM Association (TBIM) has just released.
