Abarna is the current Women in BIM Head of Regional Leads – North America, where she actively advocates for greater representation and inclusion in the construction technology sector. By day, she serves as a VDC Project Manager, and by evening, she shares her expertise as an Adjunct Faculty member teaching Revit to students in the Architectural Technology program.
With over a decade of experience in the BIM industry, Abarna has contributed to the advancement of women in tech through various leadership roles, including serving as the Women-in-Technology representative for the Toronto East Chapter of OACETT (Ontario Association of Certified Engineering Technicians & Technologists) and leading women-in-tech initiatives at previous firms. She has witnessed a positive shift in the industry’s demographics and remains committed to mentoring and empowering women to grow and thrive in their careers across the AECOO sector.
