Rebecca has always had a keen interest in how digital technology and process impacts the built environment. Her career began as an architect in Australia but moved into technology and BIM related roles where she was able to influence organisations and employees on the benefits of digital in the workflow when designing and constructing assets.
After a series of successful senior roles in Architectural practices in both Australia and the UK, Rebecca gained her Masters in Construction Management and became a fellow of the Chartered Institute of Building (FCIOB). Whilst in the UK Rebecca was involved in multiple voluntary initiatives across the Built Environment such as the BIM Task Group BIM 2050 team and regularly presented at industry events on BIM and the importance of the Government BIM Policy. She also regularly presents at Autodesk University and many other global conferences and acts as an Autodesk Expert Elite and thought leader in the BIM and technology space.
Rebecca founded Digital Node in 2013 after working in the construction industry for over 15 years and as a result of the uptake of BIM in the UK and globally. The core business provides advice and insight to construction professionals all over the world on BIM, Digital Engineering and technology led productivity. The business works with leading industry affiliations and companies such as the CIOB, BSI and leading contractors and designers to support BIM education and implementation on a variety of levels.
